COTC: Special Conversation with Judy Cannato

Dear Evolutionary Friends,
 
I had the privilege of having our Conversation of the Century this month with Judy
Cannato.  As I mentioned in a prior letter, I believe it is one of the most touching,
poignant and inspiring conversations I have had.  Please read the following description
of our conversation before you listen to the recording by clicking on the link at the end
of this letter.

Judy Cannato embodies the universe!  She IS the universe in person.  As a magnificent author, teacher and explorer of the meaning of the story of the universe in our lives, she has written two seminal books: "Radical Amazement: Contemplative Lessons From Black Holes, Supernovas, and Other Wonders of the Universe," and " Field of Compassion: How the New Cosmology is Transforming Spiritual Life."  These books have inspired so many of us to experience the field of universal creativity within ourselves and our world.

In our conversation, Judy spoke about the fact that she has an aggressive form of cancer.  I asked her that since she is embodying the universe story within herself, "What is the meaning of cancer from the point of view of
universal evolution? "  She responded that she is experiencing this profound challenge as Spirit itself emerging further through her as her personal conscious evolution.  Judy said that she is willing to share her journey with us so that we can be in communion with her.  Judy’s sharing of her transformation will support not only our learning about how to transform cancer but to whatever crisis we may personally or socially be facing, knowing we are not doing any of this alone.
 
At the end we both prayed and I had an amazing insight.  I realized that cancer is the body’s panicked effort to grow without a plan.  When it succeeds, it fails.  It kills the host in which it proliferates.
 
Through my Foundation for Conscious Evolution (FCE) I have set up The Judy Cannato Medical Fund to help raise much needed monies to pay for the cost of medical expenses amounting to $40,000 for a promising treatment Judy will receive in Mexico. I ask all of you, the conscious evolutionaries who are on this journey together now on this list, friends and colleagues, to please help with whatever contributions you are able to give to make sure Judy receives the treatment she needs now.

The Future and You

Dearly Beloved Conscious Evolutionaries,

I am inviting you to be with me personally at the deepest level of our being at Hummingbird in New Mexico from September 17-20. CLICK HERE then scroll down the page for details on my program.

In this magnificent 500 acre community the field of conscious evolution has been prepared. I will offer a new synthesis of evolutionary spirituality for the first time — what I consider to be the greatest and most life-giving memetic code in human history.

We have now gone beyond the Shift Point. We are seeing that the way we
understand and react to the breakdown of the old will determine how we create the new. It is solely our choice and this is what we mean by conscious
evolution.
A prime example can be seen in the current collapse of our financial systems. Too many of our leaders had their focus on their own short term, political self-interest rather than being proactive in restructuring our macro financial institutions to better serve our country at large.  So now we are experiencing a crisis that could have been averted.

In the same way, it is extremely important for us as individuals on a micro-level to restructure our inner state of being, as many of us are doing, by taking a proactive approach toward our own self-evolution.

A fundamental key is the shift within ourselves from our ego-driven "local self" to our more evolved "Essential Self." The Spell is Broken!

Dear Conscious Evolutionaries,

We are facing the joyful reality of what we have worked toward and envisioned. I
have been amazed at the depth of my and others emotional response to Obama’s
Inauguration. Two weeks ago, while driving, when I heard the concert at the Lincoln
Memorial in DC, the tears started to pour down my face. I had to pull off the road.
My daughter, Alex Morton, an environmental activist in British Columbia wrote:
"As a biologist with my ear to the heart of our life-support system I cannot express
the magnitude of hope that I now feel. He has broken the spell."
The spell of misuse of power, dominance, control over others, racial hatred, polarization, economic injustice has been broken. Beneath the "spell" are the rising of what we are calling the "universal humanity" and the "cocreative human." We have lived through the Shift Point. Not that the problems are solved, but the truth has emerged, that the "birth" of ourselves as a planetary species is real, if only embryonic. This is a rare privilege.

It is a moment for a great in-breath. Thousands of us have been leading the way and now suddenly, the Phase Change has happened. Our out-breath will be fuller and more dynamic than ever before.
We feel in ourselves the need to penetrate deeply into the present, into the Now, and allow the new currents to guide us to cross the gap between inner evolution and the new outer reality of our social body. Sometimes the smallest gesture of kindness and support for others is often the very best we can do, while remembering, "Our Crisis is a Birth." We have just begun the next phase of our evolution.
My conversation this month is with James O’Dea. James is a universal human! He embodies
as a person those wonderful characteristics that we are all moving towards. He is connected through the heart to the whole of life. He is awakened from within by the divine process of creation, and seems to have a remarkable spiritual/social/systems integration gift to help us move through this transition toward the world that is alluring, calling us, living within us. As former president of Amnesty International, and Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS) where he is a fellow, he is now working in many key projects throughout the world.
