A Holiday Message from Barbara

Dearly Beloved Conscious Evolutionaries,

It is with a heart full of gratitude and love that I write this holiday message to all of you, and to send you this wonderful live interview I did with Michael Dowd, author of “Thank God for Evolution.”  Michael has recently brought together over 30 leaders in Evolutionary Christianity through his interviews on Internet where he has established this new and rapidly growing field.

As you know I have been heralding our “birth” as a universal humanity for many years, sending out the signal that our crisis is a birth. Those of us who happen to be alive when this evolutionary phase change is really happening are truly blessed.

I believe that we are giving birth to a coevolving, cocreating humanity, forming a new planetary culture, a cocreative society, never known before on Earth.

It feels to me that this new culture is like the Christ child in the manger. Hardly anyone notices it…except the wise people and the angels!   The wise ones are conscious evolutionaries who know that when nature hits a limit to one form of growth and consciousness, it jumps to a higher order; those in whom the “flame of expectation” is alive; those who are realizing their potential and giving their gift to cocreate the planetary shift.

I would like us this year to welcome the newborn cosmic child, humanity. We are going through a difficult birth.  My sense is that we have a slight “birth” defect of the nervous system. We suffer from an abnormal illusion of separation from each other, from nature and from Spirit.  This illusion exists in all cultures, especially when any of them become powerful.

The good news is that there are now so many people everywhere on Earth who do not suffer from this illusion.  Who feel connected through the heart to the whole of life. Who are awakening from within by the impulse of creation itself as their own heart’s desire to grow, to give more of who they really are.

Because of so many such pioneering souls arising in every culture, field and background, we can overcome the illusion of separation and have a more gentle birth toward the next stage of our evolution.

As you know we will be celebrating birth 2012 on December 22, 2012.  It is a first Earth Birth Day, Day One of the next stage of our evolution.

Occupy Wall Street: An Evolutionary Event?

Dear Conscious Evolutionary Friends and Colleagues,

Our time has surely come! Please see the attached letter I am sending out about the Occupy Movement. “Occupy Wall St., Evolve the World.” The whole young rapidly spreading movement is an inarticulate yearning for a next stage of democracy itself, a next phase of community and society. The America Dream is not a noun. It’s a verb. It’s a Creative Evolution movement in embryo. While definitely against the misuse of power in corporations and political structure, we are also aiming at something more, something emergent.

In my work we have been calling it the cocreative society and synergistic democracy. A society in which each person is encouraged to do and be their best. One in which Robert’s Rules of Order evolves into synergistic rules of order that seek to find common goals and match needs and resources in the light of the new potentials of the whole system. In other words, to cultivate social synergy.

I hope you will show up at your local Occupy movement and share your own ideas of what we are working toward.

Toward our Global Interdependence

I write to celebrate our journey:

 
FROM REVOLUTION TO OUR CONSCIOUS EVOLUTION

FROM INDEPENDENCE TO INTERDEPENENCE

FROM SELF-CONSCIOUSNESS TO WHOLE-ORGANISM CONSCIOUSNESS


We give thanks to be alive right NOW.

When we see our situation with evolutionary eyes we discover that the pattern of 13.7 billion years of evolution is a deep design of creation within ourselves, guided by a Cosmic Prime Directive: Create More Intelligent Life.

We discover recurring patterns in the process: Problems are evolutionary drivers. Crises preceed transformation. Nature takes jumps through greater synergy between parts. Those patterns are evident right now.  It is time for collective transformation.  It is time for greater synergy between each of us and the greater whole.

In this moment, we are embodying our multi-billion year birth narrative pattern toward higher consciousness, greater freedom and more complex order. We are learning from nature’s pattern of selecting for what cooperates best.

Then let us therefore dedicate this July 4th 2011 to learning from and following nature’s fabulous design. This is the evolutionary way to "cross the gap" from Here – with breakdowns that can destroy life to There – breakthroughs that can evolve life.

As founders in the United States created the Declaration of Independence in 1776, let us, as peoples of Earth, now envision and commit to creating a global Declaration of Interdependence.

Let us envision celebrating such a Declaration on Dec. 22, 2012 as part of a planetary Birth Day – a day inaugurating a new era in human evolution. I invite you to join me in activating this vision for a global multi-media event featuring heads of state and citizens from every country, broadcasting in as many languages and cultures as possible. They will all unify in signing this Declaration to mark a new era.

Let us also at that time dedicate the first Planetary Peace Room to be as sophisticated as our war rooms: to scan for, map, connect, and communicate what is working in the world. Let every people and community have their own Peace Room locally, to connect globally.

Through these acts, let us celebrate together human genius, creativity, compassion, and innovation. Let us fulfill our deepest heart’s desire to give our unique gifts for the good of the whole family of Earth life and beyond.

Let us commit our life, our fortunes and our sacred honor to build on the greatness of our forbearers to BE THAT KIND OF LEADERSHIP NOW. Mounting World Crisis & Evolutionary Perspectives

As we suffer through the mounting crises in Japan, Libya, the Middle East, and the whole world, it is vital that we place the crises in the context of evolutionary drivers toward what is being born through us.  For example, members of the Goi Peace Foundation in Japan sent out a letter to many of us saying that they have decided to invite visionaries, scientists, artists and environmentalists from all over the world to help them build a New City that represents the New Civilization.

As you know, we have known that "Our Crisis is a Birth."  Now I feel the hour of the birth is near.  How will we make the shift in time, quickly enough to avoid ever greater destruction?

The Mother of Invention

PREPARING FOR THE YEAR OF THE CHRYSALIS: 2011

Dearly Beloved Conscious Evolutionaries,


We are coming down the home stretch of transformation self and social.  The cocreative society is emerging everywhere, in every field and function, through millions of us.

 "Mother Earth" gave birth to life, animal life, and human life and now we discover she is giving birth to
us, evolving humans, cocreating a new world.  Earth itself is a Chrysalis.  This is the time of Life in the Chrysalis. We are at the threshold of the Convergence of the Emergence.

We find one another growing toward new vocations, new passions to cocreate, deeper contact with source, and above all
Love, Hope, Homecoming, Relief and Release.  None of us have seen the societal butterfly, yet through resonance and cocreation we discover more of our own functions in the formation of the new social body.
In this vital work we invite every one of you to take a lead in becoming an emissary for conscious evolution.  We

An update from Judy Cannato

As you may recall from my last newsletter, Judy Cannato was on her way
to Mexico to receive treatment for cancer.  In Judy’s latest
correspondence to me, she tells me that her experience at the clinic in
Mexico was the most holistic experience of her life.  The caregivers,
the treatment and the environment exceeded her expectations.  Judy is
deeply grateful to everyone who responded to her with prayer, love and
donations that continue to strengthen and encourage her beyond words. 
Judy is continuing treatment back home in Mentor, Ohio mindful that her

COTC: Special Conversation with Judy Cannato

Dear Evolutionary Friends,
 
I had the privilege of having our Conversation of the Century this month with Judy
Cannato.  As I mentioned in a prior letter, I believe it is one of the most touching,
poignant and inspiring conversations I have had.  Please read the following description
of our conversation before you listen to the recording by clicking on the link at the end
of this letter.

Judy Cannato embodies the universe!  She IS the universe in person.  As a magnificent author, teacher and explorer of the meaning of the story of the universe in our lives, she has written two seminal books: "Radical Amazement: Contemplative Lessons From Black Holes, Supernovas, and Other Wonders of the Universe," and " Field of Compassion: How the New Cosmology is Transforming Spiritual Life."  These books have inspired so many of us to experience the field of universal creativity within ourselves and our world.

In our conversation, Judy spoke about the fact that she has an aggressive form of cancer.  I asked her that since she is embodying the universe story within herself, "What is the meaning of cancer from the point of view of
universal evolution? "  She responded that she is experiencing this profound challenge as Spirit itself emerging further through her as her personal conscious evolution.  Judy said that she is willing to share her journey with us so that we can be in communion with her.  Judy’s sharing of her transformation will support not only our learning about how to transform cancer but to whatever crisis we may personally or socially be facing, knowing we are not doing any of this alone.
 
At the end we both prayed and I had an amazing insight.  I realized that cancer is the body’s panicked effort to grow without a plan.  When it succeeds, it fails.  It kills the host in which it proliferates.
 
Through my Foundation for Conscious Evolution (FCE) I have set up The Judy Cannato Medical Fund to help raise much needed monies to pay for the cost of medical expenses amounting to $40,000 for a promising treatment Judy will receive in Mexico.
