A call to conscious evolution

Dear Evolutionary Family and Friends,

Now is the time that people like us have been born for. People like you and me who see through ‘evolutionary eyes’ a clearer way of discerning what is emerging, what is innovative and creative, and what the societal butterfly we carry in our hearts is revealing to us.
We’re riding a wave of Conscious Evolution now at the same time in history that the consciousness movement for positive change is cresting. That is why I am delighted and grateful to be able to invite you to be a part of a movement expressed in the declaration, A Call to Conscious Evolution, that was born following a gathering of global visionaries such as Deepak Chopra, Jean Houston, Brian Swimme, Michael Beckwith, Marianne Williamson, Gregg Braden, Bruce Lipton, Peter Russell, Duane Elgin, myself and many others. It is a movement that fully supports that the future is not what happens to us, but rather what WE create.

Dear Evolutionary Friends,

  
We have recently returned from the Alliance for Sustainable Colorado’s
Big Tent at the Democratic National Convention. "The Peace Room" has
come alive again to identify, connect and communicate what is working
in America. It is now called The Citizen Solutions Council and has been formed as a non-profit,
transpartisan initiative to foster the renaissance of human creativity
and to connect it with the governing process in support of the
enhancement of democracy.  It is a special project of the Foundation for Conscious Evolution.


We had a fabulous time in Denver. 
It was totally unexpected and synchronistic that we were invited due to
the insistence of Sali Randel, a dear friend I had not seen for 20
years.

In
Denver we were joined by Eleanor LeCain, who has been working on this
idea for many years and is now the Executive Director of the project. 
Also joining us were many friends from the Hummingbird Retreat on
Evolutionary Leadership that I had given the weekend before the
convention.  Michael Beckwith and the Agape Choir opened the Big Tent, and we closed it.
Sue Ann Taylor, president of Zeel TV flew in and set up a TV channel for us within 24 hours.

The project now has three parts:

  
1.
The President’s Council on Solutions. The purpose here is to get the
idea into the presidential campaigns and to establish this function in
the Office of the Presidency. You may download the attached word doc or click here to read it online.

  2. Citizen Solutions TV will be an ongoing Internet TV channel for citizen’s solutions.

 
3. Local Citizen Solutions Councils will be encouraged at the grass
roots level to identify, connect and communicate what is working in
their communities and then feed it upward into the President’s Council
and the TV channel. 
 
My vision is that we can adapt the SYNCON model as Town Meetings in the Round as a possible process for local Councils.

CotC: Entering the Convergence Zone

Dear Friends,    We have passed the tipping point. We have entered the convergence zone. Everything that is arising is converging and connecting. Everything that is breaking down is accelerating.
We have been projecting the transformation in 2012. It is happening now. It began for me when Jim Garrison and Paul Ray joined with key “wheel-builders,” (those connecting various systems within the whole social body) at my Wisdom University Intensive on Social Synergy and Evolutionary Politics in May.
 
Jim and Paul presented Paul’s latest findings on the rise of ‘cultural creativity’ or cultural creatives. Building on Paul’ s work in early 2008 Ray and Garrison surveyed thousands of people from all over the world to determine how many are “waking up” to the values of cultural creatives. They hope this information will provide evidence to many of the world’s political and social organizations, as well as to the cultural creative’s, that there is a new value system active around the world that when organized can have a significant impact and even win elections. “They have a bold plan to organize and mobilize a post modern renaissance…” quoted from the current issue (Aug-Oct 2008) of What Is Enlightenment? The Design Team of the Foundation for Conscious Evolution has been invited to work with them on a major conference in the fall of 2009 in Washington, DC to mobilize this vital community of innovators and creators. There we will assemble a WHEEL OF COCREATION filled with major innovators in every sector of the Wheel.
Jim just sent me his powerful GLOBAL CALL TO ACTION. “The human race must wake up to the fact that our days are numbered to 48 months or less before the global climatic situation could spin out of control and undermine human civilization itself.” We should join with Jim in this Call. Our crisis is a birth of a new humanity. We have been born and now must take our first “coordinated breath” in order to survive. All the forces for positive change are poised to be mobilized. During the Apollo lunar landing there was one single goal that united the greatest technological achievement of humanity: “Send a man to the moon and bring him back alive.” Now the goal is to “Bring Life on Earth Forward Alive.” This crisis is an evolutionary driver, perhaps just what is required for synergistic convergence to work.

    I am really excited that the latest innovations in web technology have enabled me to ‘videocast’ myself live into film festivals, churches and various gatherings to progressive-minded people like yourself. I find it the perfect means of “travel” in which to visit you.

    Most often the groups start with a screening of my movie, HUMANITY ASCENDING “Our Story” which is a wonderful overview of conscious evolution. When the movie is over, I’m “beamed in” for discussion and Q&A. I love to do it. It is just the right way to be there with you larger than life on the big screen.
